I am a certified health and life professional specializing in Medicare. After college, I spent ten years in the life and health insurance industry. With a young family, I wanted something with less evening hours (In the 70’s life and health insurance meant evening appointments almost every day). I moved into the weekly newspaper business and, as General Manager and Vice President of our publishing company, guided it’s growth into 12 different papers and 50+ employees. During that time one of my duties was employee benefits, which kept me up to date on the many changes in the health insurance industry. I retired after 29 years and moved to the Verde Valley in 2008. I went back into the individual health insurance market and Medicare. By 2014 I was working exclusively with Medicare clients. Most of the time I meet with clients in their homes and usually feel like I’ve made a good friend by the end of our appointment. I am not only well-trained and certified in Medicare and all related products, but I am on Medicare myself. I have been through everything my clients are going through, which allows me to better understand what they need to know and how to explain it to them. Almost all of my clients are in Yavapai and Coconino Counties. This means I am close enough so, if questions arise and a phone call is not sufficient, I can visit again to help with any questions or problems that may occur.
